CBT and Counselling Services
I offer counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) services which provide a safe, compassionate space to build confidence and resilience. Sessions are grounded in evidence‑based practice and shaped around your goals, helping you to understand patterns, develop practical coping skills, and reconnect with what matters most.
Grounded in evidence-based CBT and person-centred values, sessions will focus on understanding your experience and developing supportive tools that strengthen your wellbeing in a meaningful way. I’m committed to offering accessible mental health support, including low‑cost options for those who need them.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly with a trained professional about whatever is on your mind. With a counsellor you explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself and the people around you.
A counsellor does not offer advice or prescribe medication. Their role is to help you uncover your own way forward, whether that involves making changes in your life or finding steadier ways to navigate the challenges you’re facing.
Counselling Approach
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Counselling Skills Practitioner with Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA), as well as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
Whatever you're facing, I'm here to help. My areas of experience include workplace stress, bullying and mobbing, LGBTQ+ wellbeing, neurodiversity, chronic health conditions, trauma, addiction, suicidal ideation, carer's fatigue, grief, PTSD and complex PTSD.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, while drawing from Person‑Centred, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles and methodologies. This allows sessions to be shaped around your needs and individuals goals.
My practice follows the ethical standards of COSCA, BABCP and BACP, and aligns with recommended protocols from The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), ensuring that your care is safe, evidence‑based and grounded in professional integrity.
